Barbie grew up on the central coast of California in Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea. Her oldest son settled in NC after his tour of duty in the Army. He talked about how much he was enjoying life in NC and suggested a midlife adventure to check it out. That was 24 years ago and she’s never looked back.

The year round beauty of the North Carolina Foothills, the climate and especially the kindness of the people, make it a wonderful place to live.

Shortly after arriving in NC, she went back to college and earned an Associates Degree in Architecture. She has hands on experience in residential design and truly enjoys helping clients envision how a home can be placed to full potential on a piece of property.

In 2004, she started working for a local lakefront developer, acquired her Realtor’s license, and now delights in helping others find their spot of ‘heaven on earth’.
